1. What is the tone of the song?
The tone of the song is very clearly disappointed, sad, and angry. Tupac is very sad and angry that the world doesn't change and keeps on being racist, and that he hates that he is black. The examples he used show how that it was racist by a cop shooting a black person and he becomes a hero.
2. What imagery does Tupac use?
He used examples of how people were being racist. He used the image of a cop killing a black person and everyone is happy. He also used that people aren't ready to see a black president yet. He also used images of people killing each other.
3. What figurative language did he use?
Tupac used rhyming in the entire song. Some examples were negro with hero, said and dead, be and me, changes and faces, and a lot more. He also used onomatopoeia when he used the sound of a gud Rat-a-tat-tat-tat-tat.
4. Make a text to self connection
This song relates to me by having racist friends around me. They are really nice but they are racist, I think it is just funny and they don't really mean the things they say to each other.
5. Make a text to text connection.
A text to text connection that I know through my friends is Diary of Anne Frank. I think the book is about Hitler being racist to the Jewish people and he killed all of them and it was called a holocaust.
6. Make a text to world connection.
There are still racism in the world today for instance Viet Nam doesn't like China for some reason. There are still racism today between the white people to the black.
