The Invention of Hugo Cabret Novel Reflection

The Invention of Hugo Cabret is a 256 pages book written and illustrated by Brian Selznick. This book is one of the best books I've read because it is very intense, very good description of the settings and the characters' traits are very realistic. The setting of this book is in 1931, Paris, a train status, a museum, and an apartment. This book's main character is Hugo, he used to have a father but now his father is dead, he works in a clock controlling place in a train station at Paris, and he sometimes have to steal food and water because he is to hungry. This book plot is Hugo and his Dad used to live together, but one night, his dad went into a museum, and the museum got burnt, so his dad died. From there, his uncle adopted him and make him work in a clock controlling place while his uncle takes the money, and his uncle also died. He have to work and through his life, he faced many problems, and got caught for stealing. Then he got adopted by Georges Melies, and from there on he lived his life as a magician. This book is really good because it shows me many pictures instead of words of what is going on, and it is very intensive. I rate this book five out of five because it is so good and so exciting. I recommend this book to people that read books for fun not for doing novel reflections because it doesn't clearly have a main conflict. Bye!
